WIP - Classic Struggle by revoincubus WIP - Classic Struggle by revoincubus
Just some sketch lines for the next thing in my practice queue. I don't post most of this stuff as its all really just training, but some days if i don't post that... I got nothing.

I've been doing so much foundational training lately; toying with value and composition. Hopefully it all starts to show some benefit soon =]

Oo. Love the guy in this. No comment on the eel/gorgon thingy, lol. An appropriate antagonist I suppose.

It might just be practice, but if you look at the vast majority (and I do mean vast majority) on this site, this helps to balance out the disproportionate amount of crap that people think passes off as creative art. I'm not proposing to purge the site of that kind of art (although it might help make things run more smoothly), but my point is there's no reason for you not to post practice work of this quality, especially if it's something you like.

Thank you =] I've been doing a lot of these little sketches to work on my composition. The snake-thingy is actually my take on medusa, most famous of the gorgons. I looked for a truly horrible looking creature in nature and ran into the lamprey eel. A bit more slimy and terrible than the traditional snake look so I thought I'd give it a try. I also experimented with molding her arms into her torso to get a more clean directional silhouette and a more inhuman look.
